The popular crime-thriller web series Mirzapur is set to make its big-screen debut in 2026. The film adaptation will feature the iconic characters of Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi), Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal), and Munna Tripathi (Divyenndu), along with Abhishek Banerjee as Compounder.
Created by Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmmeet Singh, Mirzapur The Film promises to offer an even more immersive experience for fans of the series.
Producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar of Excel Entertainment expressed their excitement about bringing the world of Mirzapur to the big screen, stating, “We believe that adapting such a treasured series into a film will undoubtedly make for an even more engrossing watch.”
The original Mirzapur series, which premiered on Prime Video in 2018, gained immense popularity for its dark humor, gritty violence, and exploration of the criminal underworld. The subsequent seasons, released in 2020 and 2023, further solidified its status as a cult classic.
